Help Save The Seward Mansion

The rebuilding and reconstruction of the Seward Mansion is underway.

With the assistance of the grants coordinator, Kathy Murphy, grants and some additional funds have been obtained so the Seward Mansion can be protected from things like water damage and made stable
using the adaptive reuse approach.

But we need your help!

Great feats have never been accomplished alone! The Seward Mansion restoration project needs funding
in order to continue being worked on and investigated.

If you would like see this beautiful, historic house be repaired and made into a safe, useable structure and facility, you can help make this possible by making a donation.

All donated proceeds
are tax deductable and will go directly to saving the Seward Mansion, specifically for the costs of materials and research involved in repairing this house and resurfacing more of it's history.

How to donate:

About Me

My name is Melody Idakaar and I once was a resident of Mt. Olive Township, where I first saw the Seward Mansion.

From the first moment I saw this house many years ago, I knew I had to do something for it--- so I built this site.

Since I was so fond of this house, I wanted to see that it would be properly restored and preserved.

Mt. Olive Township Historical Society is now actively seeing that the Seward Mansion is restored and I am here to assist in that project in any way that I can.

If you have any information, memories, or photographs of the Seward Mansion that would be helpful to it's restoration, please feel free to contact me or Mt. Olive Township at their website:

If you have any information that could be of assistance to me or the township of Mt. Olive, please email me or visit Mt. Olive Township's website:

Also, if you have any suggestions as to how I can make this website better, please contact me:

I look forward to hearing from you!

      Help Keep This Site Running

db38re2.jpg

The past two years I've been keeping this site running to share my interest and love of the Seward Mansion, as well as to get the word out about the importance of preserving the mansion and finding out more about it's history.

If you enjoy what you see and look forward to future updates on this site, you can help make that possible by making a donation of any amount to:
